All Classes need to paid for before the class starts. 

Class cards can be issued at a discount if you or your group are committing to a series of classes.  Class cards are not transferable or refundable.

All classes need to be booked and paid for in advance.

Due to limited number in classes, class places have to be cancelled 24hrs  prior to the start of class. If not, the class will be deducted from your class package.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

Class cards are nonrefundable, non transferable. Cards need to be used within the time period for each allocated card. 

You need to give at least 24 hours notice if you wish to reschedule a class. Otherwise the class will be deducted from your card. 

Please arrive at least 5 minutes prior to your class time.

In Hatha Yoga Classes

The sequence is as below with the asanas changing in each class.  

1. Meditation 
2. Pawanmuktasana (warmups ) 
3. Surya Namaskar (sun salutations)
4. The five asana groups(backward bends, forward bends, spinal twists, inversions and balancing) they        always flow in this order and the individual asanas of these groups will vary according to the class depending on the level of the class) 
5. Pranayama (breath work) 
6. Shavasana ( total relaxation) 
7. Meditation

Yoga means Union: 
Union of the body, the mind, the heart & the soul. Union with others and union with the universe as a whole

Yoga as a practice is performed, and was created initially ( thousands of years ago ) as a vehicle into the body and the mind. Yoga is a practice which is performed to clear and unblock all the channels and pathways in the body and mind, so to prepare a person for spiritual awakening and enlightenment. 

The studio offers more challenging asanas to the participants whose bodies require the advanced binds and stronger holds.  This is because the body needs and asks for the more advanced asanas for further unblocking, strengthening and clearing. 
This is not because of ego. 

 

The Yoga Retreat is a Yoga Studio and Life Coaching Practice nestled in the tree tops of Sandton. Jen, the founder offers Yoga Classes from the studio and from various venues in Sandton, Johannesburg.
Jen Rodd offers the experience of a Yoga retreat (Yoga classes, meditation, life coaching and motivational workshops) either on fixed set dates or privately arranged dates.  Locations can include private locations, yoga studios, the office, and schools premises.

Yoga is an ancient practice which originated in India thousands of years ago. 

In Yoga, people, either alone, or in groups would perform a sequence of movements, controlled breathing exercises, bodily locks, the singing of mantras, and sitting in stillness.  These techniques are applied to form a union with self and others. By creating a daily,weekly or biweekly repetitive practice, the connection with the body, mind, soul & universe deepens, and alters one's life perception of the world and as a result one's life experience.

Beyond the body and spiritual element, Yoga is a science proven to promote good health, flexibility and strength. It lowers blood pressure and decrease stress levels, which has an immediate impact on one's daily life, both inward and outward.
